Veterans Day in The Villages: Celebrating Their Service
The Villages is celebrating the men and women who have served our country – those who have found their home here, and all across America. For Veterans Day, special memorial services, tributes, and happenings will be taking place across The Villages, to honor the courage and devotion that our veterans embody every day.
November 8th:
Veterans Softball Tournament
9AM-4PM at Soaring Eagle Softball Complex
With a special moment of reflection and a tribute to our veterans, these games will be a lively tribute to the service men and women in America.
November 11th:
Veterans Day Service
11AM at Veterans Memorial Park at Spanish Springs
Veterans Memorial Park at Spanish Springs offers a beautiful monument to reflect, pay respects, and pray for our veterans during this special Veterans Day service.
Veterans Day Boat Cruise
1 PM to Sunset at Lake Sumter Line Dock
Take in the scenery and unwind on a relaxing cruise across the lake. Veterans are welcome to enjoy the stunning views of an afternoon ride on the Lake Sumter Line.
A Tribute to Our Veterans
5 PM at All Town Squares
Join us in honoring our Veterans during the National Anthem and each branch’s service song.
Performances by Heart of Florida, Barbershop, and TVHS Choirs and Band
7 PM at The Tracy
Enjoy the musical stylings of the Heart of Florida Choir, the Barbershop Choir, and the TVHS Choir and Band in this special Veterans Day tribute performance.

November 12th:
Movie Showing: Memphis Belle
5 PM at Farragut Softball Complex
Enjoy a public showing of Memphis Belle, the classic 1990 war drama that follows a ten-man crew of Air Force service members during World War II. Registration is required and opens on October 29th. Register online at DistrictGov.org or any At Your Service center.
