The Florida Freedom Tour Rolls Into The Villages
The Florida Freedom Tour — a first-of-its-kind, free mobile history museum — is making its way to The Villages this month, and you’re invited to experience history in the making.
More than just your average roadside exhibit, you’ll find interactive displays and genuine artifacts on loan from the Museum of Florida History. This state-sponsored exhibition – housed inside two repurposed 18-wheelers – brings our state’s story to life in a way that’s fun for all ages, fascinating for history buffs, and meaningful for anyone who calls Florida home. From the earliest days through moments that shaped the state we love today, this traveling museum will bring hundreds of years of heritage right to your back door.
Where and When to Catch It
On its tour across all 67 counties in the state, The Florida Freedom Tour will visit four of The Villages Town Centers in July, opening its doors from 9 AM to 12:30 PM each day. Visit the museum at:
- Spanish Springs Town Square — Saturday, July 11
- Lake Sumter Landing Market Square — Monday, July 13
- Brownwood Paddock Square — Tuesday, July 14
- Eastport — Wednesday, July 15
