Have you ever wanted to learn how to kayak? Lake Okahumpka Recreation offers 2 kayaking programs for you to try. The first is an Introduction to Kayaking class. You will start out in a classroom setting and then get to go out on the water for about 30 minutes. This class takes place every month on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 8 AM.
The second is a Guided Kayak Experience. In this experience you will paddle the perimeter of the lake and enjoy the beautiful nature around you. It lasts about an hour and a half. This experience takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at 8 AM.
Registration is required for both programs. You can register online at ActiveNet or at an At Your Service Recreation Center.
