In 2016, the Buffalo Scholarship Foundation made a pledge to work toward the goal of awarding every graduating senior a post-secondary scholarship. After six years of dedication and planning, the members of the foundation board have turned this dream into a reality with the recently announced program – Buffalo Promise.
Through the dedicated support of the surrounding community, Villagers, area businesses, resident clubs, donors and families, The Buffalo Scholarship Foundation has awarded students from The Villages Charter School more than $1.6 Million in scholarships over the past 17 years.
Next year, the Class of 2023 will be the first class eligible for the Buffalo Promise, giving those students who wish to continue their growth in education the path and ability to pursue their dreams.
