From start to finish, The Villages Brownwood 5K brought our community of runners, walkers and friends together to enjoy the outdoors, camaraderie and have a great time. The Brownwood 5K is the first of a three-part series that starts at each one of our three squares. This year more than 700 runners, walkers, teams, and even spectators came out to enjoy the beautiful day.
Participants of all levels had inspiring moments, from first-time racers completing the course, multi-generational families coming together, and experienced runners. This event was made possible by The Villages Recreation and Parks team along with the countless volunteers who cheered and supported our participants along the way.
We invite you to come join the fun and make your plans to join us for the next two 5K’s coming on January 13, 2024 at Lake Sumter Landing, and March 30, 2024 at Spanish Springs. It’s a beautiful day to run in The Villages.
