Tour Lake Okahumpka Recreation

Take a tour of the nearly completed Lake Okahumpka Recreation and learn about all the fun and activities you’ll find there, as well as the inspiration behind the interior design, all woven into the beautiful natural surroundings and lakeside view.

While this recreation center pays homage to the rich history of the area, it also brings a new unique spin to the recreation opportunities in the region. John Rohan, our Director of Recreation & Parks, shares the vision of the area and how Lake Okahumpka Recreation is complemented by Clarendon and Richmond Recreation to bring a well-rounded lifestyle experience to residents.

Once open, Villagers will be able to watch the sun rise over the water from the boardwalk and catch glimpses of all the wildlife abuzz on the trails and paths winding around the center. Follow along with Jeff Pardue, our ecologist, and John Rohan as they explore the area and Jeff tells the story of how Mother Nature provided the perfect backdrop for the recreation center with preservation of the natural surroundings playing a big part in bringing it to life.
