July is National Parks and Recreation Month, celebrated annually to remind us all to get out and experience life’s special places, people & moments. Chances are we all have our own Recreation and Parks story, whether it’s a memory from your childhood filled with family fun or a favorite spot you’ve found here in The Villages together with friends. Here, in our community we have the unique opportunity to be a part of some amazing stories. With residents hailing from across our great country and beyond, they bring a richness of life experience to every adventure. From gold medal athletes to the countless hours of volunteerism, it’s inspiring to watch the community come to life.

In honor of Recreation and Parks Month, we thought it fitting to take you on a tour through some of the recreational spaces and places we’ve been dreaming about and are under construction getting ready for you to enjoy. Places where you can connect with friends, learn something new, participate in a program and find ways to stay active and healthy.
