The Villages First Dragon Boat Launches in Central Lake

My name is Mike Kirkman. I live in the village of Penllis. I own and operate a dragon boat racing business. That means that I manufacture the boats themselves and sell [music] every bit, piece, part, accessory for a dragon boat that you can find on the planet. And I do it right here in [music] the villages, Florida. I am thrilled to be delivering my next boat to the district. And the boat is here in our trim [music] shop. And what we do here is all the trim work. So, there’s rails, there’s benches, there’s steering arms, there’s drain plugs and port covers [music] and a multitude of other little bits and pieces that go into finishing the boat. We’ve got a great wrap design that’s going to look spectacular when it gets on the water. And once the boat is [music] fully trimmed, it’s ready for delivery, and that’s indeed what we’re going to do. We’re going to deliver this boat to Central Lake in the new community of Eastport. Central Lake itself [music] was purpose-built to be able to host training sessions, camps, clinics. cuz it’s a great opportunity to be a part of that. Dragon [music] boating is a sport that anybody can do. I am so excited to get this boat onto Central Lake. You know, I’ve sold many boats in my career. [music] This one is something special.
