Originally from Newark, New York, Mark Verkey has lived in Oxford, Florida since March of 2008. He started playing golf his freshman year of high school with his grandfather. He attended the University of Central Florida. He has been a PGA member since 1998 and has been with The Villages since September of 2003. Mark says the best part of his job is being a part of the team that provides a golf experience no one else in the world offers our residents. His tip for playing Palmer Legends Country Club like a pro is to choose the most appropriate tee for your game. We all love the challenged of the game, however we all like to have at least a few holes during our round that we can hit a short iron into the green and make a birdie.
