Lake Sumter Landing Waterfront Revitalization Officially in Motion

Lake Sumter Landing Waterfront Revitalization Officially in Motion

Big things are on the horizon for one of our community’s most cherished gathering spaces—Lake Sumter Landing. Plans are underway to revitalize and enhance the waterfront experience, blending the area’s natural beauty with thoughtful updates to keep this beloved destination a vibrant shared space for all of our residents and visitors to enjoy.

A Community Hub, Reimagined

Lake Sumter Landing has always been a premier waterfront destination—a place where Villagers and guests can stroll along the boardwalk, feel the breeze off the water, watch the sunrise or sunset, and take in the sights of turtles, birds, and other wildlife.

The revitalization project will transform the existing boardwalk into a brand-new, first-of-its-kind amenity, designed to make this beautiful location enjoyable for everyone.

What’s Ahead for the Waterfront

As seen in the video, the conceptual design reveals exciting plans to massively expand the walking and seating areas, creating more spaces to relax with friends and neighbors while enjoying the views. New waterfront recreation amenities will make it easier than ever to enjoy life by the lake, with recreation programmed activities available for sign-up.
