Shannon Otero is originally from Inverness, Florida, and in 2019 she discovered The Villages — a community that captured her heart with its friendly hometown atmosphere and vibrant lifestyle.

After teaching elementary school for fifteen years, she led The Villages Early Childhood Centers for six years, bringing with her a master’s degree in elementary education and a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from the University of Central Florida. With her deep background in education and passion for community, Shannon loves helping new residents make their dreams come true by exploring all the wonderful adventures The Villages has to offer.

Known as a great listener, Shannon is dedicated to making lasting connections with new residents. She genuinely cares about building relationships and understanding the special things that will help each person live their “happily ever after” in the beautiful Florida sunshine.

Shannon lives in Middleton, a family neighborhood of The Villages, with her wonderful husband, Aristides. She is a “boy mom” and her three boys, Roman, Gabe, and Ben, all attend The Villages Charter School. Shannon’s mom is one of her best friends and is also a resident of The Villages. Having her mom close by makes life even better!

Some of her favorite things are the beach, traveling the world, eating her husband’s good cooking, and spending time with her family. She has a fun sense of humor and just loves to laugh.

She knows new residents will immediately feel the happy vibe here, and be blown away by the countless activities, sports, and entertainment options offered every day of the week.
