Like many of you, Scott Derby never thought he would find a place like his hometown in Cedar Rapids, Iowa until he and his wife discovered, The Friendliest Place on Earth: “The Villages.”

They had found their forever place on the second day they arrived and have enjoyed every day since and still catch themselves saying “How have we never heard of The Villages?”

They had always planned on their Fun Years being out west, Colorado, Arizona. They had spent 3 years trying to find that special place that provided everything they were looking for to stay active and part of a culture that embodied who they are!

As you read above, yes, it took them a 2 whole days to find everything they were looking for that encompassed their Fun Years!!! And every once in a while as they are cruising in their golf cart, visiting one of our many favorite areas, they just smile at each other and know… “We found it!”

Scott is looking forward to learning about you, walk through your journey, find what excites you. If you see what he sees, he would love the opportunity assist you with obtaining this amazing dream. Scott’s joy and gratification comes from seeing the love, laughter, friendship, and families in the many who call “The Villages” home.

A little bit about Scott. He has had the privilege to say the love of his life and he have been together over 36 years, raised 4 children, enjoying 5 grandchildren and 8, yes 8 grand puppies!
