Growing up in northern Michigan was a great experience for Pete.  As the second oldest of 6 children, Pete learned valuable life lessons as the “big brother” to his younger siblings.  Pete always had a strong work ethic and started his own lawn mowing and snow shoveling business at the age of 13.  As soon as he was old enough, he started to work as a dishwasher, bus boy, waiter and bartender at the local ski resort.

 Pete learned he really enjoyed the restaurant business so he pursued a career in restaurant management.  In the summer of 1986, Pete received a phone call from a friend who worked for a place called “Orange Blossom Gardens” (currently known as The Villages) in central Florida and jumped at the opportunity to manage Teo’s, one of The Villages first restaurants.  Over the next couple of years Pete’s two brothers, sister and father along with a couple of cousins joined him to work in various departments for The Villages.

 During Pete’s time opening and running several restaurants in OBG he met a gal named Carol.  Carol moved to central Florida in 1987 and is one of eight siblings. Carol and Pete married in 1991.  When Pete and Carol’s first child Danielle was born Pete’s dad talked him in to getting out of the restaurant business and going in to real estate, so in March of 1993 Pete became a sales person for The Villages.  Along came “baby Alex” and a few years later Samuel.  Pete’s son Christopher soon moved to join his dad at The Villages as well.

 Today, Christopher is a sales manager at the Villages Golf Cars. He and his wife, Colleen, have added 3 beautiful children to the family. Daughter Alex is working for Properties of The Villages’ marketing department.  Danielle currently lives in Pete’s hometown in Michigan working at a popular Brewery – Short’s. Samuel is pursuing his passion in music and technology. He also works at Sammy Joe’s Pizzeria Café, a pizza and Italian restaurant that his mom, Carol, owns and operates here in The Villages, and it just so happens to also be named after Samuel!

 Pete has been with Properties of The Villages for over 26 years, where he strives to help current and future Villagers’ dreams come true.  Pete says he is truly blessed to have the opportunities he and his family members have had here in The Villages. It is an incredible place with amazing people.  He looks forward to seeing you around town.
