Melissa Mason and her husband, Troy, set out on a Sunday drive along Route 44 with no particular plans—just an opportunity to explore. Curious about the golf cars crossing the overpass bridges, they decided to take a closer look at The Villages.

What they found was something neither expected.

Melissa often says she knew The Villages was special because every time they drove through the community, she saw a spark in Troy’s eyes. There was excitement, relaxation, and a childlike sense of wonder. They returned the following weekend and purchased a home just weeks later.

Today, Melissa embraces the lifestyle she fell in love with—from walking trails and water aerobics to golf car rides from Eastport to Spanish Springs. She affectionately refers to The Villages as “summer camp for grown-ups.”

Originally from a small farm town in Western New York, Melissa earned a degree in Marketing from SUNY Fredonia and later pursued multiple degrees in Education. She spent many years teaching elementary students before owning and operating an early learning center in Albany, New York, for more than a decade. After moving to Florida in 2021, she taught kindergarten and later served as Director of Community Engagement for an educational nonprofit.

Whether as an educator, business owner, nonprofit leader, or now a licensed sales representative, Melissa has always been passionate about helping people navigate important life transitions. She understands that moving isn’t simply about finding a home— it’s about creating a life you love. Known for her warm personality, genuine curiosity, and ability to connect with people from all walks of life, Melissa enjoys learning what matters most to others and helping them feel comfortable throughout the journey.
