Matt has lived in central Florida for most of his life and has watched The Villages grow into the amazing Retirement Community it is today. Working in The Villages since 2010, he has witnessed firsthand what makes The Villages the best place to live, work and play!

Matt was born in the Hudson Valley area of New York. He grew up in the small, sleepy town of Campbell Hall, NY. His father owned a construction company and Matt spent much of his free time helping on the construction sites. This taught him a lot about hard work, responsibility, and customer service. After the passing of Matt’s father, his mother made the tough decision to move to Florida. Graduating High School in Spring Hill, FL, he worked as a landscaper for many years. He studied Culinary Arts at The Art Institute of Tampa which helped him secure his first restaurant job with Outback Steakhouse as a Line Cook. Over the years, Matt worked his way up and was promoted to the positions of Assistant Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Manager, and Front of House Manager. Matt’s career in the restaurant industry took him all over central Florida and eventually to The Villages, where he was offered a manager’s position with Bonefish Grill. Always seeking to improve on his career path and quality of life for his family, Matt earned his Florida Real Estate License and applied for a sales position at Properties of The Villages.

Matt met his beautiful wife, Alison, while working in the restaurant industry. Alison also has a real estate license and is currently a stay-at-home mom. They have been blessed with three amazing daughters, Adalyn, Ella and Amellia. Also, part of the family is Max, a young Golden Retriever and Presious, an 18-year-old long-haired Chihuahua. As a family, they enjoy traveling, playing board games, puzzles, camping, and most importantly, just spending time together.

Matt uses his unwavering work ethic, experience in hospitality, and dedication to exceptional customer service, to provide the absolute best experience for his customers. This includes folks just starting to investigate The Villages, those in the process of moving here, and those who have already become part of Florida’s Friendliest Hometown. He has been awarded Representative of the Month 6 times since joining The Villages Sales team. He has also had the honor of mentoring several of our up-and-coming sales representatives.
