Matt is a licensed real estate professional who joined The Villages after retiring from the insurance industry. While working in insurance, he held various leadership positions in underwriting with expertise in construction insurance, retiring after 30 years as an assistant vice president and underwriting officer for a national insurance company.

Originally from Hartford, CT, Matt attended the University of CT where he graduated with a BA and an MBA. He also holds a Masters Certificate in Project Management.

Matt and his wife Tina have been married for 38 years and have been buying and selling real estate for the last 30 years and currently manage a small real estate investment portfolio. They live in The Village of Fenney with their Portuguese Water Dog, Leo. Tina is an agent with The Villages, and they work together to help people realize their dreams in the community.

Matt and Tina have two daughters, Kathryn and Elizabeth. Their oldest daughter Kathryn and her husband Matt live in the North End of Boston. Matt is an attorney practicing in Boston, and Kathryn is a certified health coach, running a thriving online business focusing on improving women’s health.  Elizabeth and her husband Mat live in Milford, IL with their daughter Ada, where Mat is the pastor of a church.

Matt is an avid CrossFit fan and competes annually in the CrossFit Open, recently placing in the top 50 in the world in his age group. He enjoys being active, including snow and water skiing.  In his free time, Matt is a private pilot flying a Grumman Tiger.  Matt and Tina enjoy flying to different areas around the country visiting friends and seeing new places.
