Mark joined The Villages Sales Team in December of 2008 and has vast knowledge, experience, and drive in this diverse community. Originally from the Midwest, he has enjoyed the Sunshine State since his family moved to Sarasota in 1978.

Mark is a proud Gator Fan graduating from the University of Florida with a Journalism degree. He served as a senator in UF student government and was active in Delta Tau Delta fraternity. After college Mark worked 19 years in the automotive industry in Orlando prior to moving to Wildwood to join The Villages sales team.

Mark and Julie recently built their first new home in The Village of DeLuna becoming full-time Villagers and are enjoying The Villages Lifestyle. The Lawson’s are blessed with two children: Erin and Spencer.

Erin graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Public Relations and is moving to a newly built home in Middleton this fall. Erin works with Merlin Entertainment, a British Adventure Park company second only in size to Disney where she handles international electronic communications and web content.

Spencer graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Aerospace Engineering and a second degree in Spanish. He is employed by Aerodyne Industries and works as an onsite engineer at the Kennedy Space Center. Aerodyne is an information technology company specializing in space communication and satellites. He is thrilled to be working in his field and is loving the new role transitioning from student to adult.

The Lawsons are avid motorsports fans and enjoy all motorsports, auto racing, and motorcycle racing. They also enjoy photography, being outdoors, travel, road trips, and a great meal anywhere!

There is charitable drive as well. Last year Mark organized a 24-hour go kart race for Cornerstone Hospice. Even though it rained for 23 of the 24 hours during the race, the event was a success and raised over $9,515 for Hospice.

Mark is also driven to deliver superior results for his residents. He takes pride in doing a job right and has a deep sense of commitment to resident satisfaction. That is why over 76% of his new business is repeat or referred business from folks who have already bought from him.

Mark continues to grow his listing business with that same level of commitment, drive, and understanding. He started helping folks sell their homes in 2012 and has become one of the top listing producers with Properties of The Villages achieving an amazing 99.98592% successful sale rate. He was awarded the Highest Ratio of Listings to Sales award for 2021. He has also enjoyed the prestigious Villages Ring Club 11 of his 15 years as a sales representative. That annual award is given only to the top performing representatives in the company.

The Villages is a large family dedicated to making retirement dreams come true. Mark enjoys helping people ‘one on one’ and The Villages has given him the opportunity to help folks live a better and more fulfilling life. It makes a difference when you deal with folks who truly care.
