Mark Lawson is a dedicated real estate professional in The Villages, where he has been turning retirement dreams into reality since joining the sales team in 2008. Originally from the Midwest, Mark embraced the Sunshine State when his family relocated to Sarasota in 1978. A proud University of Florida alumnus, he earned a Journalism degree, served in student government, and was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.

Before entering real estate, Mark spent 19 years in the automotive industry, developing the skills and work ethic that now underpin his success in helping residents find the perfect home. In 2012, he expanded his expertise to include listing homes and quickly became one of the top producers with Properties of The Villages, boasting an impressive 304 listings and 287 closed sales during his tenure here. Mark has also earned accolades, including the Highest Ratio of Listing to Closed Sales award. He has earned membership in the prestigious Villages Ring Club, which represents the top 10% of Village producers, 13 times.

Mark and his wife, Julie, fully embraced The Village’s lifestyle when they built their newest home in the Village of Well Point. They have two adult children: a daughter, Erin, a University of Florida Public Relations graduate working with Merlin Entertainment, a British theme park company, and Spencer, a University of Central Florida graduate with degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Spanish. Spencer is an on-site engineer at the Kennedy Space Center with Aerodyne Industries.

Besides real estate, the Lawsons are avid motor sports enthusiasts, enjoying everything from auto and motorcycle racing to photography, outdoor adventures, and travel. Mark is also passionate about giving back to the community — organizing events like the 24-hour go-kart race for Cornerstone Hospice, which raised over $9,500 despite nearly 24 hours of rain.

Mark’s commitment to excellence is evident in his personalized, one-on-one approach with residents. With over 76% of his new business coming from referrals and repeat clients, he continues to set the standard for superior service at The Villages and enjoys helping people enjoy a better, more fulfilling retirement life every day.
