Joseph Cosentino is originally from the Southside of Chicago, Illinois and a graduate of Marist High School and the University of Illinois. Joe joined the sales team at Properties of The Villages in July 2004.

Blessed to have been living here in The Villages since 2005 is his mother, Helen. Joe’s father, Jim, passed away in 2016. Helen helps Joe keep watch over and guide his most prized possession, Angelina Grace, who is now 15 and a Freshman at The Villages Charter High School! Joe’s sister Kim and brother-in-law Ron live in Naperville, Illinois and his nephew Matthew is studying at Illinois State University. Joe’s younger brother Jim and sister-in-law Colleen live in Tampa Bay who work at Berkshire Hathaway and the Hard Rock Casino. Joe recently got engaged to his best friend Tamara with upcoming nuptials soon.

When his busy schedule allows, Joe likes to tour the state of Florida and visit its many cities and beaches. Spending time with his family and friends, attending live music and sporting events, golf, softball, and playing guitar with a few great musicians, makes living and working here all the better. Anything and everything is at your fingertips here in The Villages and it helps Joe realize that he made the best decision when he decided to leave the best city in the world for better opportunities (Weather) for him and his family! “I started out my career working for the Hilton family at the Chicago Hilton and Towers in Downtown Chicago, running the hotel’s Bell, Doorman and Concierge Services. I served as the point man for hotel conventions and servicing that catered to special guests and stars such as Robert De Niro, Bill Murray, Eddie Murphy and Sports Hall of Famers Walter Payton, Michael Jordan, and Coach Mike Ditka to name a few! That’s where I believe I developed a solid work ethic that developed into an incredible sense of customer service which helps me today when working hand in hand with my cherished clients, teammates, and management!

After college I entered the mortgage business working for many years at some of the major banks in Chicago where I learned the lending part of buying a home as well as worked with REO properties, remodeling, providing home mortgages. Back in 2002 I was introduced to this incredible place called The Villages from my Cousin Sal who had moved to Ocala in 1985 and I knew immediately I had to do whatever necessary to work here. The Villages has been wonderful to me and my family and has allowed me to grow in ways I didn’t think were possible. It is not a job- it is not work – it’s about having the opportunity to enrich the lives of people in their retirement years just like my parents.
