Jim was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY, the same place where he met his wife Cheri in high school over 38 years ago. He attended SUNY Cobleskill and Rochester Institute of Technology where he earned his degree in Hospitality Management. Upon graduation, Jim had the privilege of working for The Walt Disney World Company in Lake Buena Vista for 8 years. He later moved to the Chicago, Illinois suburbs for 5 years and then to Columbus, Ohio where he continued to provide hospitality services for 17 years throughout multiple states.

Jim’s parents moved to The Villages in 2014 and both have said that they wish they had done it sooner. After visiting several times Jim and Cheri decided this was where they wanted to work and live the dream themselves. You will find them enjoying the nature trails, biking, swimming, the local Farmer’s Markets, social events, town squares, and dining at many of the restaurants, as well as spending as much time as they can with family. They have 2 grown sons. Chris attended Ohio State University and Ryan attended Ohio University. After visiting The Villages multiple times, they also moved to Florida with their girlfriends and are living in the area.

Jim is known for his customer service, patience, integrity, and good nature. His hospitality career has included providing services to those in education, healthcare, corrections, corporate offices, and resorts. He has a varied background that ranges from creating “Magical Moments” for families to working alongside corporate executives to improve associate’s experiences and environments.
