James Heller was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma and moved to Tallahassee, Florida when he was two weeks old. He comes from a centennial Iowa farming family and knows that hard work is the only way of life. He is the only son of a Wildlife Biologist, so the outdoors and ocean were a huge part of his childhood.

At the young age of 22, he became a private yacht captain and worked in this role for many years. Being a yacht captain taught him a lot about responsibility and how important it is to maintain long lasting relationships.

In May of 2017, he married a beautiful girl named Nicole from Ocala, Florida. The couple relocated from Fort Lauderdale to central Florida where they could be closer to family and start a family of their own. In fact, in March 2021, James and Nicole had a little girl named Harper Kate. She has quickly become the queen of the Heller Household! The Hellers were again blessed with another child in the Fall of 2022. This time it was a boy named James Bowen “Bo”. James’ mother Linda is a Villages resident and takes full advantage of the Lifestyle. The Hellers have planted their roots here in Central Florida and are forever grateful to be part of The Villages Family.
