Cindy relocated from the Cincinnati, Ohio area to join The Properties of The Villages sales team in 2018 after her youngest daughter graduated from high school. Cindy and husband, Wyatt, were excited and a little nervous to make such a huge change in their lives and leave the place they called home for 20 years. Her parents have called the Village of Piedmont home for the past 15 years.
Born and raised in Ohio in the heart of the midwest, Cindy graduated from Ohio University in Athens with a degree in Journalism and Advertising Management. She moved to Louisville, Ky post-graduation for her first job out of college and met her husband six years later. They moved six times within the first four years of their marriage and four of those were in North Carolina in the same year! They moved the family back to Cincinnati in 1998. Once mom and dad moved, they visited The Villages frequently and the girls even attended Camp Villages during those early years.
Cindy stayed home to focus on raising their four daughters for 13 years before
re-entering the work force as a builder’s sales representative in 2004. Helping people select and build a new dream home really fed her passion for creativity and problem solving. She discovered she excelled at being able to listen to customers and understand their unique motivation for making a change in their lives. She worked for several new home builders over the course of the next 10 years, including custom builders of high end homes.
She decided she wanted to build her own business so left the builder world for general real estate in 2014. Her focus is on serving her clients at the highest level by nurturing those relationships and welcoming them into her family. Joining The Properties of The Villages family just seemed like the natural choice for continuing to serve clients through extraordinary service and building lasting relationships.
Cindy and Wyatt have 4 amazing daughters scattered across the midwest and on the east coast. Blayr, also an Ohio University grad, is currently on the client care team at GE Aviation in Cincinnati and gets to travel the globe planning and hosting events for engineers and executives. She has traveled to Africa on safari most recently and has been too much of Europe, Morocco, and Switzerland. She starts work on her masters degree at Xavier University in the fall. Paige spent time in Nicaragua and South Africa teaching less fortunate children and graduated from the University of Kentucky. She works for the American Heart Association in Arlington, Virginia in fundraising and event planning. Shelby is a senior sociology major at Indiana University in Bloomington and Mckenzy will attend Ohio State University this fall to study elementary education.
“Since we are new residents to The Villages, the challenges of moving and leaving the girls are fresh in our minds so I can empathize with anyone who is struggling to make the move. We are super-excited to be here and look forward to cycling, pickleball, tennis and, eventually, maybe even some golf. I love to sew when I get the chance to feed my creative side. When I walk out to pick up my newspaper in the morning and look around, I still can’t believe we live here now!”
