Tarpon Boil

Tarpon Boil is about variety. With multiple tee locations to choose from, this course offers the golfer an opportunity to use all of the clubs in the bag. The first eight holes play as par 3’s and prepare the golfer for the big finish for the par 4 ninth hole. This golf course is beautifully designed, complimented with a variety of landscapes. Naturalized areas filled with native cord grasses are seen throughout the round and come in to play on most of the holes. These naturalized areas promote water conservation and are essentially maintenance free. The “signature hole” is the ninth a perfect way to finish the round with a dog-leg left par 4 that flows nicely along the water’s edge. A good tee shot on the last hole will set you up for a fantastic finish for a birdie!

Sweetgum

Nestled in a natural canopy of live oaks, Sweetgum Executive Course is destined to quickly become a resident favorite. The course meanders around a small prairie providing some challenging golf holes as well as some great natural beauty. Sweetgum is sure to challenge even the better players. Multiple sets of tees with yardage ranging from 892-1,582 allow players to enhance their round with a variety of yardage options.

Southern Star

Southern Star, built in 2011, is right next to the Yankee Clipper course, and shares a symmetrical view of the “signature” first holes. Golfers have a variety of tee options to choose from, ranging from a total of 1,085 yards to 1,682 yards. Two out of the first three holes challenge golfers by requiring tee shots to carry over water. The fourth hole, par four, gives you the opportunity to swing away with your driver to a wide open fairway. As you come down the stretch of the last few holes, be sure to choose the right club, hit the ball on the green, and make the putt!

Silver Lake

Wall-to-wall fairways, no bunkers and only two short carries over water make this a fun course for everyone to play. One of the original courses at The Villages, Silver Lake can be found right in the middle of Orange Blossom Gardens. Continuous improvements make this a great course for the novice, and an ample test for the advanced player.

Sarasota
