Travis Robinson has always had a passion for living the Florida life. As a youngster he traveled to Disney every year with his grandmother. It was always a family affair! As he got older and realized that the long cold New England winters were too much to bear, he made the decision to leave and start a new life in Miami. The fast pace life of South Florida proved to be just a bit different than what he had expected. So, in the early 2000’s he moved to Ocala, FL and settled with a much slower pace than Miami. Having a strong desire for real estate, he started searching for areas that were intriguing and different. Weekend drives and road trips with his wife, Carla, gave Travis the opportunity to see quite a bit of Central Florida.  There was always something nice, but never the whole package. Then they found The Villages®!

Travis has always been all about the experience. What he loved about The Villages® was the people and the FUN! No matter who he spoke to they were happy and having the time of their lives. It reminded him of his early years growing up with his large family in Boston and Cape Cod, Massachusetts. He and his wife knew this is where they wanted to live too. Learning they couldn’t reside in The Villages® Travis & Carla settled on the next best thing….moving to Oxford which is right next to Florida’s Friendliest Hometown. What’s even more amazing is that there is an A rated school in the middle of a retirement community to raise their beautiful family. Travis’ wife, Carla works within The Villages® community and his children attend The Villages® Charter School; you might say it’s a family affair. Carla says, “It’s like raising a family and being on vacation every day.”

Travis’ career with The Villages® affords him the opportunity to do what he loves most, which is making connections with people and finding ways to touch and impact their lives. During his 15+ years of sales and management, Travis has been recognized many times for his accomplishments, including earning trips to Hawaii and Mexico for sales and customer service performance. Although, the trips were amazing, his true reward was helping every person attain their “little piece of happiness”. Everyone has their own vision of what “happiness” looks like, and Travis is more than happy to be a part of that journey. Through his years he has learned that it is important to listen, truly listen.
