Originally from Houston, Texas, Steven Sullivan has lived in Lake County Florida for most of his life. He was the fourth generation of his family to graduate from Leesburg High School. After attending Lake Sumter State College, Steven pursued his passion for repairing and maintaining heavy equipment. His first job in the mechanical industry was through an independent contractor who was located over an hour away. Within a year and a half, Steven had accumulated enough experience and reputation to be hired by Sysco foods. Striving for more, Steven continued to learn and was soon offered a job from their equipment manufacturer. In this position, he traveled the state for several years.

While witnessing the growth of The Villages firsthand, Steven knew it was time to come back and get involved with the community. A unique opportunity arose for him to become the head mechanic for a reputable contractor serving The Villages. Steven loved this role as it brought him closer to The Villages community while working alongside many of his friends.

Steven made the decision to switch roles within the community and began working with Properties Of The Villages. One of the driving forces in making the career switch was to focus on the residents. After many one-on-one interactions, Steven loved hearing how excited and happy they were once they were living in The Villages. He is determined to help make any new resident’s dream come true.

Steven’s most valued aspect of life is his family. His wife, Chandra, and his two-year old son, Tucker, are his strongest motivators. He loves spending quality and casual time with them. Similarly, Steven and his family share a great amount of time with his parents and with his in-laws. They visit each other on a weekly basis. He feels that he is truly blessed to be able to visit with his family so often, and he will never take it for granted. Steven and his wife take pride in maintaining such a strong family unit.

When he is not with his family, Steven loves to be in the woods, hunting, or out on a boat, fishing. Another of Steven’s favorite hobbies is building and assembling engines. This is a skill that he learned from his father, and they enjoy working together on such projects regularly.

“I feel blessed to be able to connect and assist with making your Villages dreams become a reality”
