Darlene has worked with Properties of The Villages since November of 2001.

Originally from Buffalo, New York, Darlene moved to Ocala in 1974 where she attended Forest High School. After high school she attended Central Florida Community College and then the University of Florida. Darlene holds an Associate’s Degree in Business, Radiation Protection and Medical Assisting.

Darlene’s parents moved to Ocala to get out of the snow and bought Vecchios Italian Restaurant which they operated for 16 years. Darlene has two brothers, David who lives in San Diego, California, and Richard who passed away 2009. Darlene is also an aunt to two special nephews and one very sweet niece: Nicholas, David Jr. and Milena. Nicholas has two children and was a Pave Hawk Instructor for the Air Force and resides in Washington DC.   David Jr. graduated from UCF and lives in Las Vegas and works in Commercial Real Estate.   Milena is 18 years old and a Third Degree Black Belt, plays the piano and composes her own music.  She plans to attend Pepperdine University. 

During her free time you can find Darlene cooking, reading, playing golf, shopping, or watching sports. She also loves spending time on her boat on Lake Weir, where she enjoys time with her family and friends.  She has been with her husband Chip Parrish since 2002 and they were married on 8-8-8 in Torch Lake, Michigan.  She has 3 step children and 5 step grandchildren.  And many furry little friends. 

Darlene prides herself in helping others to make their Dreams Come True – sometimes more than once. Many of her customers are currently enjoying their 2nd, 3rd and 4th homes! Darlene thanks all of her loyal customers for their continued support and for helping make her dreams come true too. The wisdom and kindness she learns from her customers is like no other.
