Originally from Pennsylvania, Ben has lived in the beautiful state of Florida most of his life and cannot imagine living anywhere else with his wife Mandy.

After a lifetime of athletic success, Ben graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Sports & Exercise Science. Ben discovered that he had a desire to help and mentor others, so he pursued a career in Education/Coaching. He spent almost 10 years teaching special needs students and served as a high school boys’ basketball coach.

One summer, Ben coached his team in a tournament that took place at The Villages® Charter High School. When the games were over for the day, he explored the area and fell in love with the beauty of The Villages. He was in awe of the friendly community and instantly became a fan.

“Every time I met someone from The Villages®, I would ask them a hundred questions about the area, and everybody answered the same way about how much they LOVE it here!”

Ben joined Properties of The Villages® because of his passion to help others. “Although I miss my athletes and my students every day, when an opportunity comes along to become a part of something as great as this community here in The Villages®, you have to go for it!”

You’ll find Ben always trying to have a good time and striving to put a smile on someone’s face. “With my experience in life, I’ve found the Maya Angelou quote to be true: ‘People don’t remember the words that you say but they remember how you made them feel’”.
