Matt has a deep faith, love for his family and a passion for helping others. He gets excited to meet new people to learn more about their stories and how he can encourage them on their journey.

He grew up in Des Moines, Iowa where he did ministry with teenagers and families. He was an Executive Director of non-profit faith youth organization who supported inner city and suburban students and families.

Matt has been married to his high school sweetheart Rachelle for 25 incredible years. They have four children; Kenzie, a nurse at Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus; twin daughters, Mariah and Emma, and their son, Micah, who are students at Cedarville University. They also have a golden labradoodle puppy, named Macey, and two cats named Milo and Charlie.

Matt enjoys being outdoors, playing and watching sports, traveling and discovering new restaurants.

Matt and his wife had never heard of The Villages® when their parents moved here five years ago. When they drove into the community for the first time, they could not believe this place existed. After experiencing the beauty, seeing the active lifestyle and talking to people in the community, they were blown away.

Matt wanted to be a part of this amazing place and join this special family environment that truly cares about people. He truly is blessed to be here, and he can’t wait to help folks’ dreams become a reality.
