Phil is a local Central Florida native. He was born in Leesburg and grew up in Lady Lake not far from what is now Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing.

“When I was a kid the land was mostly orange groves and pasture land. My friends and I would ride our horses and dirt bikes all over the area. It was a great playground for a young boy to enjoy.”

Phil graduated from Leesburg High School, and later attended Lake Sumter Community College, and graduated from The University of Florida. At UF he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He continues to be an avid Florida Gator fan and enjoys attending their games.

After graduation, Phil started working with his family’s farm equipment distribution business that his father opened in the 1960’s. After twenty seven years with the family business, Phil changed careers and moved to Tennessee. In Tennessee he joined a company where he sold agricultural component parts to farm equipment manufacturers. “For nine years I served customers in 34 states and two Canadian provinces. I met many wonderful people and saw countless remarkable places. Traveling in the winter time taught me why people have always wanted to make The Villages their home. It is cold up North!”

Because there is no place like home, Phil and his wife Angie decided to move back to Florida to be with family and friends. They have two sons, Jake and Tyler. Jake works in hunting land sales and management and Tyler works for the The Villages Grown.

In his spare time, Phil likes to be outdoors. Fishing, hunting, hiking, and golfing are some of his favorite activities. He is learning to play the banjo as his newest endeavor.

Phil says The Properties of the Villages is a perfect fit for him. “I am very thankful to be a part of such a wonderful company and sales family. I believe that every day is a new opportunity to serve my guests as they seek to improve their lives. My mission is to honestly and sincerely guide them as they make their retirement dreams become a reality. I am very fortunate to have been born and raised in this beautiful area.”

Who better to introduce visitors to The Villages than an old local?
