Chad was born and raised in Rockville, MD. With his father an electrical engineer and his mother a 1st grade teacher, his childhood was full of sports and athletics. The one sport that stayed consistent throughout his life was soccer, taking him to Europe when he was 15 with a group of kids from across the United States. He finished his high school career playing on the varsity soccer team.

He attended the University of Maryland where he studied Kinesiology. His senior year he began working as a Front Desk Agent at The University of Maryland Inn and Conference Center. This is where he found his passion for the hospitality industry. Chad spent 5 years with Marriot, finishing at The Residence Inn in Bethesda, MD. His career then took him to Old Town Alexandria where he helped with the conversion of The Ramada Inn to Radisson. He ended his career in the hotel industry with The Bernstein Group where he handled government accounts.

In 2001, Chad and his wife Jennifer, an Attorney, threw caution to the wind and quit their jobs and moved to the Dominican Republic. They spent 7 1/2 years in the DR, where they owned an adventure tourism company called Iguana Mama, which won an award in 2004 for best mountain biking tour in the Caribbean. When the recession hit in 2008, Chad and his wife decided it was time to move back to the States.

Chad spent 3 years in Charleston, SC working with Resort Quest managing homes on Kiawah Island, until his wife’s job took them back to her home State of Kentucky. Then, on his wife’s suggestion, Chad got his real estate license.

Through his 8 years as a realtor with RE/MAX, Chad and Jennifer learned of The Villages and had started buying investment properties with the plan of eventually retiring there. But again, throwing caution to the wind, in April 2022, they made the move to The Villages where Chad began his career as a Villages Sales Representative.

Throughout Chad’s life and experiences, he has gained a love of working and helping people with respect, compassion, and a sincere interest in discovering what motivates them. For these reasons, The Villages was a perfect fit for this step in his life.
