Originally from Raymond, Illinois, Tyler has lived in Leesburg since 2016. He started playing golf at the age of eight with his father at their local nine-hole municipal golf course. He attended Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois, and earned his bachelor of science in fitness and sport with a sport management emphasis. He has been a PGA member since 2014 and has been with The Villages since 2016. Tyler says the best part of his job is working with his team of The Villages residents that bring a spectrum of knowledge unlike any other to the golf operation, and of course, this wonderful Florida weather! His tip for playing Southern Oaks Golf Club like a pro is to practice your short game! Southern Oaks proves the old adage, “drive for show, putt for dough.” You can succeed at Southern Oaks without a spectacular day off the tee, but your short game will be thoroughly tested with our variety of greens complexes.
